TGS Technical Training event held in Zimbabwe

The TGS Technical Training team travelled to Harare, Zimbabwe to carry out a week of training with Deutsche Welt Hunger Hilfe - (DWHH). This event focused on a specific technical training course, namely the Safe Drive Certification. This course is certified by a renowned humanitarian educational institution – Bioforce Institute https://www.institutbioforce.fr/en and also verified by the Fleet Forum https://www.fleetforum.org/ The course was designed to professionalize the required key competences of a driver's role and responsibility. The aim is therefore to certify drivers at a standardized level deemed as a professional qualification recognized within the humanitarian community.

Jean-Philippe Lezeau and Jan Bühler trained 17 participants primarily from DWHH and some representatives from CAFOD, WVI and COPE (Italian NGO). The roles of the participants ranged from logisticians, drivers and field officers. Also present for the duration of the course was Mr Josef Frei, DWHH Head of Security to verify the quality and effectiveness of our course. Toyota Zimbabwe also welcomed our training course endorsing the safety aspects of the training course and how this would enhance the longevity of the vehicles.
