AidEx 2023 recap
TGS recently took part in the AidEx Aid & Humanitarian Conference. For the first time in the event's history, the conference occurred at the Palexpo in Geneva. The new venue proved successful, with several representatives visiting from many UN and humanitarian agencies.
TGS was proud to launch the next generation of the iconic landcruiser 70 series. TGS Co CEO Fred Burgod introduced the new model to the audience alongside our colleagues from Toyota Tsusho Corporation who joined TGS especially for this important launch. The landcruiser legendary robustness and reliability is set to live on with this new model, which brings additional significant benefits such as improved fuel efficiency and safety features, contributing to lower carbon footprint of the aid and humanitarian organisations, up to 30%, and better road safety in the field.
The model TGS showcased came out of the first production batch and was unveiled as a world premiere, and was received with enthusiasm by the Aidex visitors.
The unveiling of the GDJ70 series drew a large crowd during the 2-day event, with several visitors applauding Toyota for introducing the new 2.8L turbo-diesel engine to the famous 70 Series.
Also on display was our Pharma-Certified Land Cruiser pod conversion that highlighted the importance of transporting vaccines and medicines to remote locations, allowing agencies to administer life-saving vaccines before arriving at the nearest hospital.
Supporting the vehicles was our Fleet Services team, led by Jean Philippe Lezeau, our Fleet Services Manager, on hand to answer questions at Fleet Management Training and to discuss our RoSPA award-winning Road Safety course, all of which are now available on our new online training academy. Our long-term fleet tracking partner, TerraMar Network Solutions, was present to discuss the tracking hardware fitted to TGS vehicles.
Fleet Forum also held its first-ever Summit during the AidEx event. The Summit allowed guests to discuss learning from the Fleet Forum Conference in June and how they have implemented techniques to ensure their organisations run a sustainable and safe fleet of vehicles. TGS was proud to host and sponsor this year's fleet forum Conference again, positively contributing to improve aid and charity organisations fleet management road map towards sustainability and road safety.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit our stand and chat to our team. We are looking forward to returning to AidEx in 2024.
TGS will next be exhibiting at DIHAD in Dubai from 23-25 April. We look forward to seeing you there.
